Hello there,
Thank you for checking out what I believe!
After all, it’s important to know who you’re following on the internet.
As you know, there are many different beliefs about God, faith, and life.
I pray that you will take a minute to read these statements and really think about them. They are more than just what I believe. They are the foundations of what it means to follow Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life.
God bless you and keep you,
Jennifer
I believe in One True God, complete as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7 NKJV
The Scriptures are the God-breathed, inerrant, and absolute truth.
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrew 4:12
We are saved only by grace through faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross. We cannot earn our way to heaven by any human measures.
For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
Jesus willingly died on a cross for the sins of every person. Those who believe in Him as Lord and Savior of their lives will spend eternity with Him.
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15
Three days after His crucifixion, Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. More than 500 people saw Jesus after His resurrection.
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once…1 Corinthians 15:3-6
Jesus is coming back to receive His own. All who have put their faith in Him will meet Him face to face and live with Him forever.
For the Lord, Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin separates us from God. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the only way to heaven and the only way to be cleansed from sin and shame.
For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Romans 3:23-26
It is God’s desire that none would perish, but that all would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives.
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
God is love and in Him is no darkness at all.
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5
God longs for people to enter into a relationship with Him and receive the free gift of salvation through His Son.
“In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation, I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2
